KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The CPN-UML has decided to hold the Statute General Convention to bring amendments in the party's statute from October 1 to 3 in Kathmandu.
A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the party held on Saturday made a decision to defer the convention being organized to bring amendments in the party's new statute. Earlier, the party had decided to hold the convention from September 20 to 22.
The SC meeting has also decided to call the party Central Committee on September 19 and 20 to hold detailed discussion on the party's new statute, political and organizational paper to be presented in the statute general convention for endorsement.
The SC meeting on Saturday also determined the participants of the Statute General Convention of the party. It is estimated that more than 3,000 party's leaders from across the country will participate in the meeting.
