JANAKPUR, April 9: Members of Tarai Rastriya Mukti Sena (TRMS) abducted Santosh Sah, candidate of Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist)* for Dhanusha-5 for the Constituent Assembly by-election scheduled for Friday.
The group led by TRMS cadre ‘Alfa’ abducted Sah along with other ML cadres from Bindhi area near Janakpur Buspark at about 9 a.m. Thursday.
Akash Tyagi, military commander of TRMS owned up the abduction. The armed group operating in Tarai districts had earlier announced that they would protest against the by-election.
