CPN-Maoist warns of dire consequences if ignored

KATHMANDU, April 6: The CPN-Maoist has warned that it would cost much if their party, which is a major share of the People´s War, was relegated to back-burner.



Addressing a public gathering organized at Martyr Theatre in the capital on Saturday to mark the People´s Movement Day, party Chairperson Mohan Baidhya blamed the four political parties for showing autocratic and authoritarian manner by governing the country in an unconstitutional way. [break]



´The four parties do have no constitutional recognition, they have handed over the strength they possess to bureaucrats. We would not attend the dialogue called by the parties having no strength´, he said.



Chairperson Baidhya demanded the formation of joint national government through all-party round-table conference or meeting by scrapping of the consensus and agreement reached among the four political forces.



´Congress and UML are acting at the behest of Unified CPN (Maoist) leaders by ignoring our party – which has been the main force of the People´s War. They all would bear a huge expenses´, Baidhya warned.



Underlining the need that nationalists and patriots should team up by making a joint alliance for safeguarding nationality, he urged nationalists in all parties to take part in the struggle of his party.



Cautious to the issue of citizenship certificate, Chairperson Baidhya commented that the country would steer ahead to the destiny of Sikkim with a condition under which true Nepali nationals deprive of obtaining citizenship certificate and accomplice of expansionists get it.



He further warned to foil the elections at any expense if it is to be held at the strength of weaponry ignoring consensus.



On the occasion, party general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa announced that the year 2070 would be the decisive year of revolution and that the revolution would build a new Nepal with independence by sabotaging the feudalist and bourgeois class.



Now a conspiracy is being hatched to ignite people to fight each other in the name of ethnicity, he said, underscoring the need to move ahead placing in centre the issue of nationality than the ethnicity.



Hinting at the deadline st by the government to hand over weapons kept for the security of Maoist leaders, he said, ´Bring back the decaying and non-lethal arms; new weapon-manufacturing factories are being established for us´.



The UCPN (Maoist) has betrayed people, he said, terming the UCPN (Maoist)´s conclusion that revolution was successful for the people yet to liberate from subservience was surrender.



At the programme, general secretary of Revolutionary Communist Party Mani Thapa claimed that they have forged an alliance of 51 political parties against the unconstitutional move of four political parties.



Various leaders speaking on the occasion stressed the need of further effective struggle to dissolve the incumbent government.
