Chand’s CPN accused of capturing 13 Ropanis of land
As the family members had used eight-ropani land, they have accused the CPN of capturing their 13 Ropani and 15-aana land. They recently publicized this issue through a press release.
Reportedly, Surje Bahadur Tamang of then Madanpur-8 allegedly got Man Bahadur drunk and managed to transfer their land to his wife Sabita Tamang's name by stating he will just use the land as collateral in bank.
"By offering Rs 160,000 to Man Bahadur by saying his land is in bank, land mafia have sold the land to Nirajan Thapa of Kirtipur for millions of rupees," as mentioned in the release. Stating they are obliged to live a life of squatters, family members have demanded stern action against the culprits. They have also urged the person or organization purchasing the land not to use or sell it until the matter is under investigation.
The victims have urged the authorities concerned to take action against Surje Bahadur, his wife Sabita, landowner Nirajan and the then secretary of the village, Kiran Shrestha.
