KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in Province 1 is around 27 percent less than the national average.
According to the latest data compiled by the Corona Information Desk of Province 1, the recovery rate of the province currently stands at 44.83 percent where the national COVID-19 recovery rate is almost 72 percent on average. This percent is 27 percent less than the national average.
As of Tuesday, of the 5,693 COVID-19 cases reported in Province 1, as many as 2,552 have recovered and returned home. Likewise, the number of recovered COVID-19 patients stands at 47,238 out of 65,276 cases recorded in Nepal which is close to 72 percent.
The COVID-19 death rate in the province is also higher than the national average. So far, 56 people have succumbed to COVID-19 which is 0.983 percent. At the national level, the death rate is at 0.654 percent.
