Court issues show cause order over Charles Sobhraj case

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The Supreme Court has issued a show cause notice in the name of the government in response to a habeas corpus petition filed claiming that prisoner Charles Sobhraj has completed his jail term as per the ‘concessions’ entitled to senior citizens of Nepal.
A single bench of Justice Anil Kumar Sinha on Thursday ordered the authorities concerned to come up with a written response on the matter within three days.
