Country should pursue prosperity thru constitution enforcement: Minister Basnet

KAVRE, Sept 13: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet stressed the need for taking the country on the path to prosperity through the enforcement of the new federal republic inclusive constitution.

KAVRE, Sept 13: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet stressed the need for taking the country on the path to prosperity through the enforcement of the new federal republic inclusive constitution. 


Saying two rounds of the local elections have been concluded as part of the implementation of the constitution, he also expressed happiness at those parties which failed to participate in the previous two phase of the polls taking part in the third rounds.

"The country should pursue prosperity after concluding the provincial and federal elections slated for November 26, and December 7," he said, adding that and towards that end, all political parties should come together. The minister was inaugurating the Banepa festival organized by Banepa Boys Club. 


In another context, he also pledged to support the proposal to make Kavrepalanchok district the capital of Province 3. 


On the occasion, Minister of State for Industry Resham Lama underscored the need for youth entrepreneurs to play an important role in preserving the identity of Banepa. A rally was taken out, and a tableau presented in the course of the festival. 


At the festival, a total of 142 stalls showcasing various essentials targeting coming Dashain festival has been set up. The festival will run until September 26. RSS
