KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The false association of hemp with marijuana still exists in the general people. Though both belong to the cannabis family, their cultivation, functions, and applications have distinct features.

To educate the people about the differences between hemp and marijuana, and to promote the use of the bio-gradable products, Cosmic Annunaki has been organizing Nepal Industrial Hemp Exhibition for the past four years. The 2018 edition of the exhibition kicked off this Friday, at Evoke Café – Jhamsikhel.

The exhibition showcases products ranging from hemp backpack, handbag, purse, apparels, dietary supplements, and other accessories.

Cosmic Hemp charcoal (CH) is the highlight of this year’s exhibition. According to Bilabh Shrestha, the founder, and CEO of Cosmic Annunaki, the microbe symbiotic hemp is made of 100% natural combination of hemp charcoal and effective micro-organisms. It is naturally carbonized, without engaging any chemical or gases. He added, “It stimulates mental harmony and bliss in the human body. The materialistic lifestyle causes stress in the human life. Also, the excessive use of gadgets encourages UV and harmful rays. Using hemp charcoal will absorb toxic substance, toxin, and radio radioactive material etc.”

The exhibition contains a total of three stalls. The first stall is of the organizers, Cosmic Annunaki. Various unique items made of cosmic hemp charcoal are displayed at the stall. CEO Shrestha said all products are beneficial regarding health. They help create positive vibes by absorbing toxic substances and radioactive material.

Next to Cosmic Annunaki is Shah Hemp Inno-ventures’ stall. Dhiraj K Shah, founder, and CEO of Shah Hemp Inno-ventures said, “Apart from hemp bag, visitors will also find oil, shampoo, and soap that are produced without the use of chemicals.”

Village Café, on the third stall, serves food items made with hemp.
