GULARIYA, Oct 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said the construction of the Postal Highway would be expedited.
"An agreement has been struck lately with India in relation to the Highway. Now it will move in a speedy pace," said PM Dahal while addressing an annual assembly held in memory of the late former minister Ram Charan Tharu of Bardiya district.
On the occasion, he assured that the families of those disappeared and killed during various past movements would be provided with Rs 500,000 each in compensation.
He also remembered Chaudhary as a leader who worked for the nation going beyond personal and family interests, saying it would be a great tribute to him if 'we follow to his footsteps.' RSS
