INARUWA, Jan 15: Normal life in Sunsari district has been affected for the past few days due to increasing cold.  The district presently experiences thick fog and a cold wave. 


The low-income population residing in various areas such as the district headquarters Inaruwa, Bhokraha, Koshi, Gadhi, Duhabi, Ramdhuni, Itahari, Dharan, Barahakshetra, Harinagar, and Devangunj is facing challenges in coping with the chilling temperatures. Daily wage earners are particularly affected, finding it difficult to carry out outdoor work, as said by Bhatai Sada of Koshi Rural Municipality-6.

To address the pressing need, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inaruwa, took some initiatives on Sunday by distributing blankets to the needy. Chamber President Birendra Kumar Shah said the assistance materials were provided to the needy in coordination with the District Administration Office, Sunsari.
