KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma has instructed the Nepal Army (NA) to carry out the responsibilities related to election security in an excellent manner.

Commander-in-Chief Sharma gave this instruction during an inspection visit to the Far West Pritna Headquarters of Midwest Regional Headquarters of Rupandehi, at Teghri in Kailali District and the Ransingh Dal Battalion of Dang today.

During the inspection visit, CoAS Sharma also got information about the current situation of the police, responsibility areas, coordination with the provinces and the integrated security plan for the upcoming House of Representatives and provincial assemblies elections as well as the situation of the battalion.

Similarly, he also inspected the company operating base established by the NA in Chandauta area of ​​Kapilvastu district for the security of the House of Representatives and provincial assembly elections and gave necessary instructions, according to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepali Army.
