KATHMANDU, June 11: Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, vice-president of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and coordinator of the confederation's Employers’ Council, left for Geneva on Sunday to participate in the 106th session of International Labor Conference.
CNI, the representative body of small and large industries of Nepal, is participating in this conference for the first time, according to a statement issued on Sunday. "This shows the healthy relation among the government, International Labor Organization, CNI and the private sector," it added.
CNI has said that it believes its participation in the conference will help to build more credibility over the industrial relationship between industries of CNI, who have been providing around 60 percent jobs, and trade unions.
