A total of 30 professional golfers and 21 top amateurs will compete in the the three-day event, which carries a total cash prize of Rs 500,000.[break]
The participating Nepali professional golfers include Shiva Ram Shrestha, Rabi Khadka, Ram Thapa and Sanjay Lama. Toran Shahi, a regular at the PGTI, has also arrived from Delhi to take part in the championship.
The top three professional golfers will be awarded Rs 100,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 54,000 respectively. The top 21 professionals will also receive cash prizes.
International Society of Medical Education (ISME) is the sponsor of the event.
