SURKET, Dec 25: Chief Minister of Karnali State Government, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has urged one and all in his province to work for the overall development and prosperity of Karnali State and country as a whole.
Calling for doing so on the basis of the governance system that embodies the values of proportional inclusiveness with social justice, CM Shahi appealed the citizens from all castes, creed, religion, language, gender and region to safeguard the democratic republic, federalism and secularism achieved after a long political struggle.

In a message on the occasion of Christmas, the greatest festival of Christians, today, Shahi extended best wishes to all the Nepali Christians at home and abroad, wishing them good health, happiness, peace and prosperity.
"Various festivals like Christmas for one being celebrated in a multilingual, multicultural, multi-religious country like ours had further consolidated our Nepali society," reads the Chief Minister's message.
The CM was confident that Christmas would further augment to the mutual cooperation, tolerance, fraternity and solidarity among all Nepalis at home and abroad.
