The event was held with an aim to reach out to the mothers with desires of sustaining their unique bonds with their daughters and supporting their daughters to establish their individuality. [break]
To make it to the final round, the interested mother-daughter pairs first had to go through audition rounds organized in different cities all across Nepal. The top 10 regional winners were selected on the basis of the pairs’ beautiful and healthy hair and talents exhibited by the daughters during the auditions.
Then, one-week long training and counseling program was organized in Kathmandu by the judges of the contest – beautician Kamala Shrestha, photographer Raj Bhai Suwal and former Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi, along with personas like actor and dancer Deeya Maskey, to help the top ten pairs build up more confidence. At the finale, the top 10 mother-daughter pairs had their final ‘Hair Test’ and a talent round.
The mother-daughter pair from Central development region – Srijana and Isha Karki – was titled as national winner. They were also honored with a scholarship worth Rs 500,000 and an offer to become superstar working with Image channel.
Similarly, another mother-daughter pair Reeta and Nishum Rai, from Eastern development region, bagged the second prize with Rs 75 thousand. And Muna and Aakriti Thapa Magar from Western development region stood third, and walked away home with a cash prize of Rs 25 thousand.
At the end of the show, a lucky draw selected five mobile numbers who had voted for the contestants. They won Rs 5,000 each.
