PANCHTHAR, Oct 23: Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli has stressed that the judges should promptly dispense justice as part of their professional responsibility. 


Laying foundation stone of the district court building at district headquarters Fidim on Monday, he said justice is a collective system and principles delivered based on truths explored by justice fraternity. 


"Where there is full-fledged rule of law, development efforts and actions are also effective there", Chief Justice Parajuli added.

Other things may be corrected but once the justice goes wrong everything will be collapsed, he argued, adding that principle and system should always be made vibrant to make justice arrangement strong and result-oriented. 


He expressed his confidence that the justice dispensation would go in a rapid pace with the recent amendment to the regulations related to justice. 


The Chief Justice directed the district court to grant two percent bonus to the contractor company if the building was constructed six months before the designated date and slap action if the construction was delayed.


Also speaking on the occasion were Justice Council member Ram Prasad Sitaula, SC main registrar Nakul Subedi, high court Biratnagar chief judge Kulratna Bhurtel, Chief District Officer Laxmi Devi Humagain and Nepal Bar district chairperson Kamal Chemjong among others. 


The building being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 38.15 million is expected to be completed within two years. RSS
