CIB arrests 15 people on charge of smuggling rhino horn

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested 15 people on the charge of smuggling a rhino horn. 

Acting on a tip-off, a squad from the CIB on January 3 detained two persons in possession of a rhino horn weighing 522 grams from Saraswati Nagar of  Kathmandu-7 and the remaining 13  were apprehended subsequently. The detainees have been handed over to the Division Forest Office, Kathmandu, for further investigations into the case, according to Superintendent of Police at CIB Sanjay Singh Thapa.
