KATHMANDU, May 30: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a graft case at the Special Court against immigration officer at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Ramakanta Aryal on Thursday.
In the charge sheet filed at the court, the anti-graft body accused Aryal of amassing properties worth millions.

Aryal was found to have earned assets of Rs 40.50 million from 2002 to 2017 even though he earned only Rs 20 million as his regular salary and perks while in service in the same period.
According to the CIAA, he seemed to have earned additional Rs 20.5 million through illegal means. The CIAA registered the case against Aryal in line with the Anti-corruption Act 1992 demanding a fine of Rs Rs 20 million.
The CIAA has made Aryal and his spouse Sarita Nepal defendants in the case.
