CHITWAN, May 7: As many as 136 cadres and members of Nepali Congress (NC) have resigned from the party in Chitwan district. Leaders including NC Chitwan leader and independent mayoral candidate of Bharatpur Metropolis Jagannath Poudel resigned after the party took action against them. They claim that the NC had become stronger than ever in Chitwan due to the candidacy of Jagannath Poudel.

We, the members of the metropolis, have tendered our resignations against the unethical action taken by the party.”
