Chitwan National Park receives over 51,000 visitors in first five months of current fiscal year

NAWALPUR, Dec 27: More than 51,000 people visited Chitwan National Park (CNP) in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2021/22 starting mid-July.

NAWALPUR, Dec 27: More than 51,000 people visited Chitwan National Park (CNP) in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2021/22 starting mid-July.


CNP's information and assistant conservation officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari said 51 thousand 304 visitors visited the national park over this period. According to him, the highest number of visitors was recorded in mid-October to mid-November. 21,506 visitors observed the national park in mid-October to mid-November followed by 19, 580 in mid-November to mid-December.

Similarly, 5,835 people visited CNP in the month of mid September-October, 2,977 in mid August-September and 1906 in mid July-August.


CNP has collected revenue of Rs 12,995,150 as entry fee from the visitors so far according to Tiwari.
