Talking to Rublica correspondent Madan Thakur, Mahato who reached Birgunj said grant oil donated recently by China to Nepal is against the Madehsi movement.
"China has played a negative role by donating oil to Nepal at a time when Madhesi people are taking the movement to a height."
Mahato further said the Madhesi people have been staging a protest since last two months over the discriminatory provisions in the new constitution against the Madhesi people.
The government should create environment conducive for talks to end the going crisis, said Mahato.
Mahato has reached Birgunj today to take stock of the clashes between the police and the Madhesi cadres.
An Indian national Ashish Kumar Ram had died in the clash between the Madhesi cadres and the security personnel in Birgunj yesterday.
