KATHMANDU, Sept 3: The third batch of emergency relief supplies provided by China arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Thursday aboard a Y-20A large transport aircraft of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force.
Ten Chinese forensic experts also arrived on the same flight. They are the fourth batch of Chinese experts sent to Nepal to assist with the disaster response.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming and Nepal’s Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun attended the handover ceremony for the relief supplies and welcomed the Chinese experts.

The relief supplies include mortuary freezers, epidemic prevention materials and daily necessities urgently required in Nepal following the recent floods.
The Chinese forensic experts will begin work to assist Nepal with the identification of victims, according to the Chinese side.
The third batch of relief supplies also includes Bailey bridges requested by Nepal for disaster response and recovery. Equipment required to erect the first batch of Bailey bridges has already arrived by land at the Lizi–Nechung border point for handover to Nepal.
China has been providing emergency assistance to Nepal following the devastating floods that affected several parts of the country.
