China hands over second batch of medical supplies to Nepali authorities

KATHMANDU, April 22: China has handed over the second batch of emergency medical supplies to fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) to Nepali authorities on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, April 22: China has handed over the second batch of emergency medical supplies to fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) to Nepali authorities on Wednesday.

According to a spokesperson at Embassy of China in Nepal, these medical supplies were donated by Xizang Autonomous Region of China to Nepal amidst a special function held at China-Nepal Friendship Bridge at Zhangmu-Tatopani port. 


The medical supplies handed over to Nepal include 10,000 N95 masks, 10,000 PPEs, 1,000 infrared thermometers, 2 PCR machines, 2,0000 testing kits (including 20000 VTMs) and 50 boxes of disinfectant wet wipes.


The Embassy's Spokesperson said Chinese Embassy attaches great importance to Nepal's demand for medical supplies and is coordinating with different parties in China to collect those materials. "The Chinese Embassy will continue to strengthen communication and coordination to provide support and assistance to Nepal within our capacity," said the spokesperson.
