CHAUTARA, Dec 23: The Chinese side has hinted to take initiative at central level to open the Tatopani check point soon as it was in the priority of the Chinese government. The Tatopani check point along the Nepal-China border has remained closed after the 25 April 2015 earthquake.
During the border security meeting between Nepal and China at Chautara on Wednesday, the Chinese side said the check point would be opened soon after bringing the damaged road into operation as the earthquake caused huge loss of physical property including roads along the Tibetan area.
Chief District Officer, Antar Bahadur Silwal, told Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that sisterly relation would be established between Nyalam County of China and Sindhupalchowk district.
An understanding has been reached between both countries to take initiatives to stop cross-border smuggling and criminal activities.RSS
