China army dy chief meets Katawal

KATHMANDU: Visiting Deputy Chief of People’s Liberation Army of China Lt Gen Ma Xiaotian met Nepal Army chief General Rookmangud Katawal at Nepal Army Headquarters Tuesday. Military issues related to the two countries were discussed during the meeting, according to NA headquarters sources. The Chinese senior military official headed to military training center in Kharipati where he is scheduled to observe training of Nepal Army officers. After returning to Kathmandu, he is meeting Foreign Affairs Minister Upendra Yadav at 5:30 p.m. and attending a dinner hosted by Lt Gen Kul Bahadur Khadka, second-in-command of Nepal Army at 6:30. Ma is leaving for New Delhi on Wednesday.
