The 11-year-old child was allegedly abducted by an unidentified gang on June 20 from near his home at Pokharapali at Ramgram Municipality-3. [break]
Though a team of police led by DSP Surendra Mainali has been searching for the kidnapped child, the status of Ashish, the son of businessman Hari Narayan Baniya, is still unknown. He is a fifth grader at the local Little Angles Secondary School.
Many district dwellers are feeling insecure with the child going missing since a long time and police’s inability to trace his whereabouts.
Ashish’s family members and relatives have appealed to journalists, politicians, human rights activists and police to secure his safe release.
