DOLAKHA, Sept 30: Police on Friday arrested a man in Shailung Rural Municipality-8 , Dolakha on the charge of killing his young nephew because of a family dispute over property.


Umesh BK has been accused of killing 10-year-old Kushal BK.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Basudev Pathak, informed that Umesh killed Kushal and buried him in the jungle 15 days ago. Umesh and his brother have been fighting over ancestral property since long back. Sometimes the dispute got so bad that it ended up in the police station .


According to DSP Pathak, Kushal and Umesh had run into each other in the forest while returning from a Teej function . They got into an argument over family issues after which Umesh started physically attacking Kushal . "It seems the perpetrator dug a pit and buried the boy's body, covering it with leaves," said Pathak. Police found the body in the jungle after 15 days.
