KATHMANDU, May 7: Chief Justice Sushila karki has resumed her mantle of Supreme Court on Sunday after the impeachment motion aginst her registered at the legislature-parliament by lawmakers of the two ruling parties was stayed by a single bench of Cholendra Shamsher on Friday.
She entered her office at 9:11 am on Sunday.

On April 30, as many as 240 lawmakers from the two ruling parties –NepaliCongress and CPN(Maoist Center) had registered an impeachment motion against her citing that she was involved in encroaching on the jurisdiction of the executive.
Responding to the petition filed against the impeachment motion registered at parliament, a single bench of justice issued a stay order to parliament on Friday, which allowed the suspended Chief Justice to resume her responsibility.
