Chief Justice off to Bhutan

KATHMANDU, Oct. 5: Chief Justice (CJ) Khilaraj Regmi on Friday left for a five-day visit to Bhutan at the invitation of the Chief Justice of Bhutan.



During his visit to Bhutan, CJ Regmi would hold discussions with top-level officials of Bhutan´s judiciary and would acquire knowledge about judicial activities of Supreme Court and other level of courts of Bhutan, according to Supreme Court´s assistant spokesperson Hemanta Rawal.



Senior-most Justice at the SC Damodar Prasad Sharma would assume the office of CJ in the absence of CJ Regmi.



CJ Regmi is accompanied by his spouse Shanta Regmi, SC´s Registrar Lohit Chandra Shah and personal secretary Krishna Prasad Subedi.



Prior to his departure at the Tribhuvan International Airport CJ Regmi told media persons that the visit would help exchange the experiences of judiciary between the two countries.
