Chaudhary clocked 13.4 seconds to win gold in the girls´ 100m race while Anita Thapa of Central Region and Sarita Kalikote of Eastern Region finished second and third respectively. Shahi completed the race in 11.8 seconds to claim gold in the boys´ section while Aman Chaudhary of Mid-western Region and Utsav Shrestha of Eastern Region claimed silver and bronze medals respectively. Achyut Raj Giri of Central Region won gold in the boys´ 1500m race held at the Dasharath Stadium. He clocked 4 minutes 45.3 seconds. Hari Dharuk of Mid-western Region and Pankaj Pokharel of Eastern Region finished second and third in the event. Sangita Khadka of Central Region clocked 5 minutes 11.8 seconds to win gold in the girls´ 1500m, leaving behind Padma Rimal of Mid-western Region and Laxmi Budha of Far-western Region in second and third positions respectively.
Ramijan Ali Salmani of Mid-Western Region won the boys´ 400m race with a timing of 52.7 seconds while Anita Thapa of Central Region clocked 1 minute 8.5 seconds to win gold in the girls´ section. Mid-western Region claimed gold medals in 4x100m relays of both boys´ and girls´ sections.
Likewise, Central Region clinched the girls´ title in kabaddi. Central Region defeated Far-western Region 23-21 in the final played at the Olympian Semi-covered Hall at the National Sports Council.
Competitions of athletics, cricket and kabaddi began on Tuesday. All these three competitions are organized and managed by National Private and Boarding Schools Organization of Nepal (NPABSON). The junior championship is jointly organized by PABSON, NPABSON and HISSAN under the initiative of National Sports Council, School Sports Development Board.
