The exhibition aims to promote Newar architecture and heritage in Panauti. And a proposal to have Panauti listed under the world heritage site list of UNESCO has also commenced.

In 1976, three architects chose Panauti to undertake a multidisciplinary study. The pictorial display studies the system of meanings in its relations with urban forms, and a way of life in which the past and the new forces of change coexist. This exhibition opens perspectives for the future of Panauti and formulates concrete proposals that have harmonized the complementary lessons of ethnology and architecture.

The exhibition continues till Thursday.
