CHITWAN, Nov 29: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has announced the names of 19 office bearers of the party in its ongoing 10th General Convention on Monday. While reading the names of the office-bearers, Chairman Oli announced his name for the post of party’s chairman, Ishwor Pokhrel for senior vice-chairman and Shankar Pokhrel for the post of party’s general secretary.  

Similarly, Yuvraj Gyawali, Asta Laxmi Shakya, Surendra Pandey, Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal, Bishnu Poudel and Subash Nembang have been named for the post of party’s vice-chairmen. 

Following the announcement, candidate for the post of CPN-UMLs chairman, Bhim Rawal was also given a chance to speak at the event. Rawal announced that he has not withdrawn his decision to contest for the post of Chairman and will run for the election. Earlier, representatives had protested against Rawal after he announced his candidacy for the post of party’s top leadership. In the announcement, Oli did not read the names of Bhim Rawal, Ghanshyam Bhusal and Bhim Acharya for the post of office bearers. The candidates will field their candidates as per the announcement made by Chairman Oli.

Deputy General Secretary: Pradeep Gyawali. Prithvi Subba Gurung and Bishnu Rimal

Secretary: Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Raghu Bir Mahaseth, Chawilal Bishwakarma, Lekhraj Bhatta, Yogesh Bhattarai, Gokarna Bista and Padma Aryal
