CG launches Wai Wai Aloo Tama

KATHMANDU, April 13: CG Foods, a subsidiary of Chaudhary Group (CG), has added a new flavor to its Wai Wai noodles brand line up called Wai Wai Aloo Tama. CG Foods officially launched the product on Sunday. Addressing the launch ceremony on Sunday, Lal Babu Prasad, assistant general manager of CG, said the new Wai Wai flavor was brought out with an aim of continuing the classical recipe of Aloo Tama into a new generation.

Likewise, GP Sah, vice president of CG, said: "To celebrate the traditional Nepali taste in modern household and make the taste of Aloo Tama popular among the younger generation, Wai Wai Aloo Tama is a first-of-its-kind in the market." According to the CG Foods, the new product is available in 85-gram packages sold at Rs 20.


Meanwhile, the company also announced the name of the winner of its Aloo Tama Recipe Contest campaign. Kalpana Bhattarai was announced as the winner of the contest and was handed a check for Rs 30,000. The contest was launched through company's website in December 2014 and ran for a two-month period.
