KATHMANDU, June 4: Nepal's most popular noodle Wai Wai has announced a series of prizes to encourage the Nepali national cricket team participating in the ongoing ICC T-20 World Cup.
According to CG Foods Nepal Limited, the company will give a cash prize of Rs 3 million if the team reaches the Super-8 stage of the T20 World Cup.

In addition, Wai Wai has announced various other awards to boost the morale of the players and support their continued success in the T20 World Cup. The company has declared prizes of Rs 1,000 for each run scored in the world cup, Rs 8,000 for each boundary, Rs 12,000 for each six, and Rs 15,000 for each wicket taken. Furthermore, the company will provide Rs 50,000 for every half-century, Rs 100,000 for every century, and Rs 150,000 for each win by the Nepali team.
These awards have been announced in collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). An agreement was signed between CG Foods Nepal Limited and CAN on Monday.
The announcement is expected to encourage Nepali cricketers to perform well, according to a statement issued by the company. CG Foods, part of the Chaudhary Group, has been sponsoring U-19 cricket in Nepal for the past 20 years. Wai Wai began investing in the development of cricket in Nepal at a time when there were no spectators in the cricket field, according to the company.
