Batting first after winning the toss, CCI mustered only 111 runs in the stipulated 20 overs losing nine wickets. National player Basanta Regmi, who hit 27 off 39, was top scorer for CCI but without a single stroke to the fence. National side regular Rahul BK took four wickets for CCRC which earned him man of the match award. Nepali under-19 team skipper Gyanendra Malla fired unbeaten 42 runs in just 32 deliveries as CCRC achieved the winning target in 19.5 overs. Malla hit three fours and one six.
Meanwhile, in second match of the day, organizer KCC Red thrashed LBEF by 10 wickets. All-rounder Mehboob Alam tore apart LBEF batting line-up by taking four wickets as the entire team bundled up for just 54 runs in 15.5 overs. Inning extra runs played the major role in the total with 15 runs, apart from opener Deepak Kumar Jha´s 14 runs, no another batsman could reach a double-digit acore. Natioanl team skipper Binod Das took two wickets for KCC-R.
Star studded KCC-R achieved the target in just 11 overs. National player Dipendra Chaudhary scored unbeaten 39 off 18, which included nine boundaries, for KCC-R. Man of the match Mehboob Alam chipped in 13 unbeaten runs for the winning side.
