CCRC, KCC-R to play in the final

KATHMANDU, May 14: Capital College & Research Center (CCRC) defeated Classic College International (CCI) by 5 wickets and booked its place for final in the ongoing 6th KCC Running Trophy Cricket Tournament being held at TU cricket grounds, Kritipur on Thursday. Put in to bat first, CCI amassed 98 runs in the allotted 20 overs. [break]



National player Basanta Regmi topscored for CCI with 44-ball 37 which included two hits to the fence. Raj Shrestha took 4 wickets for CCRC to restrict CCI for a low score.



Anil Mandal fired 63 runs off just 43 delivery including 9 boundaries to help his team beat CCI by 5 wickets. Basant Regmi and Pramod Basnet took two wickets each for CCI.



Similarly, organizer Kantipur City Collage (Red) entered the final defeating Triton Collage (TC) by one wicket. In a thrilling match, TC won the toss and elected to bat first. TC accumulated 99 runs losing 8 wicket in 20 overs. In reply, KCC achieved the target losing 9 wickets. The final of the tournament will be played Sunday.
