KATHMANDU, May 1: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli has remarked that the candidates nominated by other parties for the local level elections are not even worth-discussing.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of the International Workers' Day on Sunday, Chairman Oli urged all to ‘discard the unnecessary candidates of other parties’ and vote for the UML candidates.
Chairman Oli also said that UML has nominated its candidates for the Kathmandu Metropolitan City with the resolve to make Kathmandu a model capital of the world, a clean capital and to make the Bagmati and Bishnumati rivers clean. He also clarified that he wants to make the Kathmandu Metropolitan City prosperous by combining the experience of Keshav Sthapit and the enthusiasm of other young candidates.
Chairman Oli also directed the party leaders and cadres to intensify the election campaign with the party's election manifesto and commitment letter at the local level. He reiterated that the UML was always ready to ensure the rights of workers.
