Campus lecturer resigns to run for Pokhara's top job

POKHARA, April 29: A lecturer has resigned to run for the top post of the Pokhara – Leknath Metropolitan City during the forthcoming local polls. 



Dev Raj Chalise, who has been recommended as one of the candidates from Nepali Congress (NC), resigned at the TU Vice Chancellor's Office a week ago, according to Prithvi Narayan Campus Assistant Campus Chief, Basanta Parajuli. 



Chalise has been lecturing on political science at the campus. NC Kaski has recommended the names of 33 persons including Chalise to the party's central office for the top post of the metropolitan city, NC district member Nabin Sigdel said. RSS
