KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to expand her cabinet today by inducting four new ministers. The names of new ministers have already been sent to the Office of the President for the oath taking ceremony.
According to the sources at PM’s office, Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam will be appointed as Minister of Health and Population, Ganapati Lal Shrestha as Minister of Land Management, Khagendra Sunar as Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security and Bablu Gupta as Minister of Youth and Sports.

All four ministers are set to take their oath of office and secrecy at 2:30 PM at the President's Office at Sheetal Niwas today itself. With their appointment, the Karki-led cabinet will increase to 11 members from the current seven.
Earlier, Shrestha was initially tipped to lead the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, but his portfolio was later changed to Land Management before the names were forwarded to the President’s Office.
Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam is an obstetrician-gynecologist who previously served as Health Secretary for three years between 2008 to 2011.
Ganapati Lal Shrestha is a well-known heritage conservation activist who has long been engaged in the preservation and promotion of Kathmandu Valley’s cultural sites.
Khagendra Sunar is a prominent Dalit rights activist who rose to national attention through his protest campaign against untouchability, including a symbolic demonstration with nails at Maitighar.
Bablu Gupta is the founder of ‘100 Group,’ a charitable organization active in social and humanitarian causes. The oath-taking ceremony will be administered by President Ram Chandra Poudel.
