KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has banned a pilot who is associated with the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) on the charge of mistreating an air hostess. The pilot on a flight (RA-416) of the NAC flying to Kathmandu from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been accused of mistreating one of its air hostesses. The incident took place on July 28, 2022.
The CAAN acted on a complaint filed by the victim following the incident, said the CAAN Spokesperson Jagannath Niraula. "A complaint was filed with the CAAN. We have asked the NAC to investigate the matter. We have banned the pilot until the investigations conclude," he said.

Similarly in relation to the incident, the CAAN has prevented all other crew members on the flight from flying for the time being. The CAAN has not released the name of the suspect citing ongoing investigation.
