BIRATNAGAR, Sept 25: Rastriya Janashakti Party´s Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa on Tuesday said that political parties have no alternative to opt for fresh Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.

Talking briefly to the media persons at Biratnagar Airport while returning to the capital from Dhankuta, the former prime minister said that the political parties that are protesting the CA elections are creating further political instability and chaos in the country.[break]

Thapa ruled out the possibility of going back from the elections in this current political situation as the government has already declared the CA elections.

"But consensus among the parties is needed to resolve the present political impasse," he added.

He said broader consensus among the parties including the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and Madhesh-centric parties was a must in the disputed issues of the new constitution.
