The clash started after Tharu activists attempted to closed down shops in the bazaar forcefully. The businessmen said their businesses were badly hit by prolonged shutdown and they should be allowed to open shops.
The injured, Sohan Chaudhari from Chhouteuli in neighbouring Parsa district, has received a serious head injury to the head. Police have rushed him to Birgunj Hospital after he fell unconscious.
