KATHMANDU, April 2: Etihad Airways continued its corporate social responsibility program in Nepal by donating a large amount of its waste paper to support a recycling initiative led by Shanti Sewa Griha, a non-government organisation (NGO) providing shelter for the less privileged and fighting discrimination against leprosy patients.

Originally established in 1992 as a leprosy clinic, Shanti Sewa Griha has evolved into a sustainable community with a recycling operation that has residents collecting waste paper, pulping it into a mixture with sawdust, and fashioning it into briquettes that are then sold for heating and used for cooking food for the clinic´s patients said a press statement.
