KATHMANDU, Sept 17: As the Dashain festival nears, bus entrepreneurs have decided to open bookings from Thursday.
Transport entrepreneurs did so after the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) agreed to address their demands of revising transport fares and unfreezing bank accounts. The government had frozen bank accounts of transport entrepreneurs in a public stint to end syndicate in public transport.
"We've held discussions and assured to address their demands. Only then, they agreed to open bookings for Dashain," informed Director of DoTM Gokarna Prasad Upadhaya. DoTM is meeting transport entrepreneurs to address more challenges.
