KATHMANDU, April 30: A bus transporting students returning from Muktinath met with an accident on Tuesday morning along the Kagbeni-Muktinath road section. About 21 students sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The bus (Province 3-01006 Kha 622) was carrying students from Liberty College in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, when the accident occurred. Among the 33 individuals on the bus, including the driver, 21 suffered minor injuries. The accident occurred around 9 AM.
According to the Kagbeni Police Station in Mustang, the injured students were rescued and sent to District Hospital, Mustang for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Aadesh Acharya, 20, from Lahan-12, Siraha, Anuj Neupane, 20, from Madhyapur Thimi -3, Bhaktapur, Jyoti Kumari Sah, 21, from Golbazar 6, Siraha, Samiksha Gyawali, 21, Ruru-5, Gulmi, Pratsika Khadka, 20, from Kirtipur -8, Kathmandu.
Similarly, the injured are Binda Dahal, 20, from Changunarayan, Bhaktapur, Anamika Thapa, 19, from Kathmandu, Dhruvraj Joshi, 21, resident of Kailali, Peshal Basnet, 20, resident of Bhojpur, Rama Kumari, 22, resident of Mahottari, Aadesh Lawati, 23, from Panchthar, Nishan Rasaili, 22, from Sunsari. Suraj Kumar Pariyar, 24, resident of Dhanusha.
Likewise, Subas Nepal, 20, from Bardiya, Saugat Tripathi, 21, from Kavre, Rahul Shah, 20, from Sarlahi, Cyrus Tamang, from Kathmandu, Anamika Suwar, 21, from Bhaktapur, Deepak Kumar Nidhi, 22, resident of Dhanusha, Niranjan Sah, 22, resident of Sarlahi, Rohit Balayar, 21, from Doti, were also injured.
As per the preliminary investigation, the bus overturned on the road due to brake failure, said police. Kagbeni-Muktinath road, which was blocked for around three hours after the accident, has now resumed, he added.
