Budhanilkantha bundled Galaxy out for a mere 55 runs in 20.2 overs after putting it in to bat, allowing none of the batsmen to reach double figures. Galaxy owed its paltry total to the generosity of Budhanilkantha bowlers who dished out 28 extras.
Man-of-the-Match Surya Gurung took three wickets, conceding just three runs in his five-over spell, while Sandesh Wagle, Rahul Malla and Prakash Singh each got a couple, spelling Galaxy’s doom.
Chasing the meager target for title, Budhanilkantha romped home in 11.4 overs, losing just two wickets with No. 4, Rahul Malla, scoring 23 unbeaten off 29 balls laced with three fours.
Galaxy had something to cheer about on a dismal day, though, as its all-rounder Bibhav Raj Joshi was judged Man-of the-Series, while Dipesh Agrawal was declared Best Batsman. Similarly, Shashank Acharya of Shuvatara International School took bowling honors in the tournament organized by Adarsha Vidya Mandir (AVM) Higher Secondary School.
