Chief of General Staff Nepal Bhusan Chand was at the Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome General Sir Peter Wall. [break]
General Wall is scheduled to attend a programme to be organised by the British Gorkhas Nepal on Saturday. He is also the Colonel Commander of Brigade of Gurkhas and Chairman of British Army Gurkhas´ Welfare Trust.
As per the schedule, he will pay a courtesy call on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Dr Baburam Bhattarai and CoAS Rana.
Wall is scheduled to return home on November 20, the Directorate said.
Meanwhile, CoAS Rana and Lieutenant Gen Kenneth J Glueck of US Marine Expedition Force had a courtesy meeting today.
On the occasion, Chief of General Staff Chand, Chief of Staff Netra Bahadur Thapa, and Major General Pawan Bahadur Pandey were present.
During the meeting, matters relating to mutual interests were discussed.
Similarly, Lt. Gen Glueck visited the Birendra Military Hospital, Chhauni this afternoon.
He arrived in the capital along with his spouse on Thursday and is scheduled to return home on coming Sunday, said the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate.
