KATHMANDU, June 8: Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim Province, Trilochan Bhatta has won the vote of confidence from the province assembly.
In a voting held at the province assembly on Tuesday, CM Bhatta secured a total of 30 votes while nine votes were cast against him. Twelve other province assembly members, however, remained neutral and did not participate in the voting.
Bhatta, elected from the CPN (Maoist Center), was supported by the Madhav Nepal-faction of the CPN-UML.
