DHARAN, Oct 5: Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) recorded one more coronavirus-related death on Monday.
A 55-year-old male from Dharan Sub-metropolitan City breathed his last while undergoing treatment at BPKIHS at 6:45AM today. He was admitted to the hospital on October 2. His throat swab was collected and sent for COVID-19 test which came positive on the same day, according to Dr Ashish Shrestha.
The deceased was also a kidney patient. With this, the number of people dying of coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the BPKIHS has risen to 40. Of the deceased, nine were local residents of Dharan.
