Book on Nepal’s economic journey ‘Arthat Arthatantra’

KATHMANDU, May 4: Economic expert Sujeev Shakya has come up with an analytical comment on Nepal's economic history and current financial trends in his new book, 'Arthat Arthatantra’.


When Prithvi Narayan Shah ruled Nepal, economist Adam Smith also lived through the same period in other part of the world. Both had their own impact and legacy in their sphere of influence. Shakya starts his book with this reference and the impact it paved for Nepal’s Economy in a longer run. He then goes on to dissect and analyze various other areas of Nepali economy.


Sujeev Shakya is an economic writer and a commentator. He also chairs Nepal’s Economic Forum, a credited forum run by the private sector. This is Shakya's first book in Nepali.
